Help give them the care they need and the love they deserve

On Wednesday, October 13, nearly 40 animals were removed from a Carrick home in a collaborative effort of the Pittsburgh Police Department, Animal Control, and Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh. The animals were surrendered to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh and transported to our two domestic shelters. Twenty-six dogs were taken to the North Side shelter and 12 cats to the East Side shelter.

Thanks to the dedicated staff and volunteers, these animals are receiving the care they need and the love they deserve. However, receiving this number of animals at one time can be involved and costly. Even with minimal medical issues, the costs can present a financial challenge. Your support of our efforts is greatly appreciated.
